Christopher Valcik

My name is Christopher Valcik and I have been in the graphic design/printing industry since 1993. I have worked for a few large printing companies here in the Capital District and decided to go out on my own in June of 2002 with my business, Custom Graphics.

I guess my main field of work is political direct mail. I have and continue to design many mail pieces for area politicians. Much of my work is for the New York Republican State Committee and have designed mail campaigns for Harry Tutunjian, Mayor of Troy, NY race; Mike Lenz, Mayor of Saratoga Springs, NY race; Peter Guidarelli, Mayor of Schenectady, NY race as well as State Senators, State Assemblymen, and numerous Countywide campaign committees. Besides the political work, I have been busy designing for Healthcare Association of New York, area restaurant menus, invitations, corporate identities, and just about anything a client requests.

I work on PC and MAC and keep up to date with all the latest and greatest software. I don’t have a preference; as between both, I can handle everything that is needed.

Custom Graphics has also turned into a very successful print broker. I have found that many of my clients like the idea of their designer being able to match their printing needs with quality printers and stay within their budget. I offer full printing capabilities from 4 color process to thermography, foil printing and embossing. I have been fortunate enough to land some large design and printing accounts as far away as Las Vegas, Arizona, and Utah.

In my spare time I am busy taking pictures. I enjoy nature and being able to capture it, and preserve it digitally. I also donate my services to a few non-profit organizations designing monthly newsletters, brochures and invitations. I am working on my website to include a lot of my work, www.CustomGrahicsGroup.com.
